I'm using the windows codecs (on xp sp2) from http://www.illiminable.com/ogg/ but every time I play an ogg video, it plays about a second, then pauses, plays then pauses. It isn't skipping or anything, just a very jerky playback.

Anyone else have this problem or know a solution? Couldn't find any info in these forums or with a google search

You can try play it with other player or dshow filter, then see have the same problem or not, ;)
1. mplayer (http://www.aziendeassociate.it/cd.asp?dir=/mplayer) by Celtic Druid
2 VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/)
3 Haali media splitter (http://haali.cs.msu.ru/mkv/) + ffdshow (http://ffdshow.sourceforge.net/tikiwiki/tiki-index.php?page=Getting+ffdshow)(Recommend you uninstall illiminable ogg codec before install Haali media splitter and ffdshow)

Does this happen on all videos, or just a particular one ? Is it an ogg theora file, or is it an .ogm file?

If it's all ogg theora videos, and they are large/high quality... it possibly can't decode fast enough. If it's a particular ogg theora video, i'd like to organise to get some more information, a part of the video.

If it's really an .ogm file (possibly misnamed as .ogg), then that was quite buggy in the last release. It is fixed when i make the next release.
