I'm having some problems when I try to backup a copy of a movie using a backup copy (Meaning not the original but making a backup from a copy).
It seems that sometimes it will work and other times it will just error. On DVD Shrink it will just error and the program will stop, on DVD Decrypter it will have lke 8000+ read errors. Does anyone else have this problem or know a way around it? If I just copy the original its ok, its only when burning from a backup disc. Thanks in advance!

It sounds to me like your backup copy has errors. Did you use Verify when you burned it?

This certainly sounds like "layer3maniac" is correct in speculating that your first copy is (very much) flawed.
You should try cleaning your first copy.
There's no need/reason to use DVD Shrink for this purpose - your first copy is already ripped and compressed...

I belive this is a comunity that helps you backup your original dvd movie, not copy a copy. I think I read someware that backingup a copy (for whatever reason) is illigal and therefore not talked about here!
I mean come on what possible reason could you have for backingup a backup? you eaven said yourself that if you use your original it works ok. :D
I hope that was not to harsh :devil:

If you must know why I back up my back up its because I am making another copy for my car as I don't want to play originals in my car and risk getting them damaged or stolen. My originals are at another location from where I currently am now.

@CnB
Hi!
If I were you, as long as it plays properly, I wouldn't be concerned...

If you continue to have difficulties, just make a new copy from your original, commercial DVD...
