Please let me introduce a free software.Its name is "MPG2JPG"
I think its function of still capture is unique and interesting, it can capture all frames between setted two points(I-picture). (I suppose MediaPlayerClassic, PgcEdit andDvdReMakePro capture I-picture of each GOP or VOBU.) So I think it is useful for comparing compressed quality(as one of methods).
It can select BMP and JPG for output, and can select interraced or not,bottom or top field, and can set compression ratio of JPG, and can set interval of output frames, and can clipping and resize.
It was only Japanese version, but recently English version was released .
