I have a DVD which has quite a few items on the Menu, i would like to simply Copy one of the Items/Chapters on the Menu, it would then fit on a CD and of course be much better quality, as DVD shrink has to compress the complete DVD about 55% to fit it onto a 4.7 gig blank DVD

BTW. The DVD is a set of 4, the Live 8 concert at Hyde Park, i only want the Pink Floyd section (and perhaps The Who, o, ok and then there is Madonna :) !), the quality is exceptional as well.

You can use DVD Decrypter in IFO mode.

You'll only get a *55%* compression ratio if you're backing up the entire disc. After you've opened up your file, either from an optical drive or a folder on your computer, click on *Reauthor*. Drag *Title 1* into the reauthor pane. Click on the compression tab and remove anything else you don't feel that you'll need and the compression ratio will go down even further (or up, depending on how you look at it).

What this will leave you with is a *Main Movie Only* file, no menus or extras, but the least amount of compression you can get with Shrink.

You're quite welcome. Shrink is more flexible than many people realize. Visit www.dvdshrink.info to view a wonderful set of guides, and check out Doom9's guide, too. Click the Doom9 link at the top of this page, then:

Guides > DVD/miniDVD > DVD Backup Guides > DVD Shrink

Happy Shrinking!
