Hello,

I would like to know if it is possible to join some VOBs files to do only one.

I am explained:
A movie dvd includes 5 VOBs (vts1/vts2 ...5).
How to make, to get 1 single VTS.

:thanks:

Process the DVD with DVD Shrink with the option "split vob files into 1gb size chunks" unchecked. If it does not need to be compressed then make sure you select "No Compression".

Hello Video dude. :)

Thank you very much.
It functioned perfectly.

But I have a problem with Nero 7.
I have this small window which appears when I want to import the vob for the encoder.

" Nero met a problem and cannot continue.
Failure of opening of the file VTS_ 01_2.vob.
There is not a file anymore."

Does can one modified something in Nero for that the Vob file is accepted?
I already looked for, but I didn't find anything more.

NOTE: the file is complete (identical size to the original). Playing is impeccable on all the players multimedia (that I tested of course),, and VDM takes it without flinching.

It is strange as diagnosis. Nero would be him failing.
An idea.

I also recall you that I tried with 2 different dvds: one in NTSC and the other in PAL.

What is your opinion?

What part of Nero are you using? (Burning ROM, Recode, ...)

You might want to open the dvd files with PGCEdit before using Nero. It may prompt you that something is wrong and offer to fix it.

To be in the DVD spec the vob file can't be greater than 1 GB. If it is bigger than 1 GB, perhaps that is what is giving Nero problems.

I don't use Nero for DVD video so I really can't provide help.

@guada2

Hi!

Sounds like the information in the .IFOs no longer matches the .VOB.

You oculd use IFOEdit to write new .IFOs...

By the way, what is your purpose in joining the .VOBs into one?

Thank you very much "setarip_old" & "Video Dude" :)

The problem comes from NERO 7 (Nero Recode).

Video dude,
I uses Nero Recode only for an encoding Mpeg4 AVC, never for encoding DVD Video.
My software of predilection DVD it is CCE 2.70 pro. ;)

Bye.
