can I use DVD2SVCD for divX -> SVCD ?

I'm not familliar with DVD2SVCD processing. Could it be possible to use it to convert divX to SVCD ? I've read in the advanced section how to convert mpeg files by renaming them to vob, so I'm wondering if the same kind of hack exists for divx to svcd ?
