Hi!
If you mean that you only have a CD burner, CDs can be burned in "VCD" and "SVCD" format - both of which are playable on many standalone DVD players...

Only a VCD or SVCD - most players can play VCD.
Edit: setarip_old was faster. :)

You can't burn mini-DVD's without a DVD burner.

I don't know what that is, and there's no mention of it in Nero's help. My guess would be that it's files in DVD format but burned to a CD, which is probably limited to less than an hour. Might be a viable option for a single one-hour episode of a TV show minus commercials. I thought you were referring to a mini DVD-ROM, which is just a smaller version of a DVD.

From http://www.doom9.org/glossary.htm#minidvd:miniDVD
miniDVD is basically a DVD on a CD. A miniDVD can contain bitrates up to 10mbit/s (audio and video combined). Video is MPEG2 of course.. preferably VBR and audio can be MPEG1 audio layer 2, raw uncompressed PCM or AC3. Video quality can be up to an actual DVD level if you accept the limited playtime of a CD. You can create DVD-like menus as well. The drawback is miniDVDs will only play on PCs and on a very limited number of standalone players.
