I am trying to burn the legal, uncopyrighted avi's that my japanese friend gave me onto a DVD+RW to give to my German friend(Yes i got my Japanese friends permission). The problem is that whenever i burn them using Nero 6.6.0.14 a few of them get corrupted. they work on my computer and i was wondering if there was any software which would analyse the avi's and tell me what the problem is.

hi there,
have a try using Gspot (http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/software2.htm)
it will analyse the avi file, show you what codec is been used and try to render the file. you should be able to tell from that if the file is corrupted, but not why
i would try checking both the avis on your hard disk and on your dvd
and, as for the dvd... try burning at a lower speed. sometimes it works, sometimes not
