Hey,
I add subtitles to a DVD using this guide:
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=83566&page=1&pp=20

and after finishing with DVD-Lab I went to update the IFO with IFOUpdate.
but then I got an error saying: "The original IFO's PGC area is not large enough to hold the new PGC"

after a littel search on the web I understood that the error has to do with the chapters. so I edited the orginial IFO (VTS_01) with IFOEdit and I saw this:
http://forum.doom9.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=4964&stc=1

also in DVD-Lab pro after importing the m2v file, in the time line it says: 0-GOP. and after inserting it it's 00:00:00 across the whole time line:
http://forum.doom9.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=4965&stc=1

I have done many movies with that guide and this is the first time I get this error, so theres nothing wrong with my setting or something.

anyone have an idea ?

Thanks. :)

Hmm, maybe you're experiencing the same problem as this user:

http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=102728

In that case the solution is to use a different method to copy the main movie back into the original DVD structure: Instead of IfoUpdate or BatchUpdateIFO (or PgcEdit's Import Title function, for that matter), use VobBlanker's Replace PGC function, which works on PGC level...

Instead of using PgcEdit's Import Title function (which creates a new title), you may use the Replace Title function (in the File menu.)
This function replaces the current title by another one, keeping everything in place (menus, color table, streams definitions, etc...) Of course, the VTS_C_ADT and VTS_VOBU_ADMAP tables are updated. In fact, this function does exactly what you want, but easily, and doesn't have the IFO file size limitation of IfoEdit/IfoUpdate.
But it doesn't work if you want to replace only one PGC among several PGCs in the same domain. In this case, you need to use VobBlanker's Replace PGC.

Sorry, that's what I meant, too... PgcEdit's Replace Title function. I suspect the problem Somebla is experiencing is caused by multiple PGCs in the main movie title.

I'm not sure I understood you..
after I load the Originial DVD with PgcEdit what exactly do I do ?
I only want to update vts_01_0.ifo, so on which VTSM\VTST do I click ?

Thanks again.

On "VTST 1, 1 Title X". This should be your original main title. Verify with the preview, and the duration of the title.

You should also verify if you have a "VTST 1, 2 Title Y", and possibly other titles in the same VTST 1. If it's the case, you're unlucky and you will have to use VobBlanker.

well it turns out I have 2 titles, but the first one is 0 seconds so I can delete it, but I have no idea how. is it possibile ?

also, I tried using VoBlanker but with no success. I loaded the orignial DVD and replaced in VTS_01_*.VOB the second title (5th pgc) with the final VTS_01_0.IFO.
it played the movie but there was no audio and no subtitles, what am I doing wrong ?

Thanks alot for yout help ;)
