i need help i have avi videos and wanna make them dvd and add subtitle.im novice...what i need to do

One option is to use DVD2SVCD in AVI2DVD mode. I recommend it.
Go to DVD2SVCD forum (http://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?f=47) , read the FAQs and ask there for help if you have problems.
