When i burn with DVD Decrypter i heard that u should have your buffer up to 100% during writing, well mine doesnt stay at 100% it fluctuates from 100% to almost 0%.

I have my primary IDE channel (decive 0 is at Ultra DMA mode 5 and my device 1 is not applicable) but both devices are set to DMA if avalible

now my secondary IDE channel (device 0 is at PIO mode and my device 1 is not applicable) but both devices are set to DMA if avalible

also does the buffer always have to stay at 100% or can it go from like 100% to like 93% (just an example)

Does anyone have and tips on how i can get my buffer to stay at 100%

You really should start using a more descriptive title for your threads as stated in the rules - this is at least the third thread you've started with such a title.

As far as the buffer problem, start with defrag.

Good titles are easier to scan from search returns when you're dying for a fix. Since the installation of the new Forum software, you can pull up any page and click the "New Posts" button to see all the new posts that have hit the board since you last visited; lots of members will do this instead of clicking into specific fora to look for topics of interest. Bad topics tend to get blown off, maybe by the very person who had your problem just last week.

CWR03 is great, but it may be a bit early in his career to associate him with "god" status.

Hit the edit button in the lower right of your first post to this thread, change the title, then save your changes.

Start by defragging the target drive.

Can it be that your burner is at the second IDE chanel and in PIO mode, and when you burn something you CPU gets used to almost 100%?

If that is so I now where the problem is!
Go into the device-manager (i think itīs called so in the E-version of Win.) and uninstall or delete the second IDE controller, important the controller not the device!
After a restart it should be automatically be reinstalled and the device should be in DMA mode after that!
That should solve the problem.

chris643pa--You can't delete a thread and open a new one on the same topic just because you didn't like the first one. Don't "time-shift" a thead to suit your personal tastes.

I've merged the two threads, which is somewhat of a mess, but I had some help, here.

Man, I thought I was going crazy - I was sure I'd read and posted the same thing before.
