I installed the free VP62 Decoder/Decompressor from http://www.on2.com, but MPC is still not able to render nsv streams. I thought The NullSoft Video format and AOL Ultravox protocol are now open source. I am missing something?

A decoder alone is not enough, you also need a parser and MPC doesnt appear to have one.

I vaguely recall mplayer being able to parse nsv.

Both libmpdemux and libavformat can handle nsv. mplayer can use external codecs to handle VP6, etc. to. Still it doesn't help you much if all you want is to play via dshow.

So no parser, no streaming of nsv in MPC. Would be a nice request for Gabest to implement one. What do you think?
