DVD Decrypter has the ability to take a dvd and copy it into a ISO form. Is there anyway that you can use DVD Decrypter to make an iso of a DVD but only the MAIN MOVIE? I've been looking for other programs to try and do it and can't find anything. DVD Decrypter can only iso a full dvd, you can't pick and choose. Is there anyway to contact the author of dvd decrypter and ask him to put that option in a new release of the program.
ANYBODY HAVE ANY IDEAS OR OTHER PROGRAMS TO DO THIS?

Sorry, development of DVD Decrypter has ended.
But if you rip in file mode, all files and blank out the VTSs that contain junk (with VobBlanker or PgcEdit), you can then make an ISO of the main movie and menus with ImgToolsClassic.
Or even more simply, load the ripped files into DVD Shrink and "re-author", doing a movie only shrink. Output to ISO image.

You can also use something like CloneDVD2 - after you've ripped the complete DVD in file mode, you load the directory and check only the main movie to burn or create a new .IFO.

Hi!
The new version (2.0) of DVD2One (commercial software) will also allow you to save your "movie-only" structure as an .ISO image file.
Of course, the overriding question is - Why do you feel you must you create an .ISO image file?

Rip a movie to your HD then use DVD Rebuilder Pro. which will allow you to encode to an ISO in movie only mode or menu and movie that you can then burn with DVD Decrypter/ImgBurn.
The Pro. version is not free.

Nothing personal but I don't respond to PM's from people that I have only seen posting a short time @ doom9. (I been getting a lot of those lately)
I will however answer your question here in the forum.
Here is a link to DVD Rebuilder. (http://dvd-rb.dvd2go.org/)
There is a free .96 version but it does not have the ISO option.
DVD Rebuilder v1.02 is the Pro. version and has the functions that I described in the above post, plus many others. The "Professional Edition" of DVD Rebuilder is available for $29.95. Sending a donation of that amount or greater will result in your automatic upgrade to the Professional Edition. You can then change the type of Matrix for instance for lower bitrate movies or add filters to help degrain a movie.
Again the Profession Edition adds many additional features, including:
- Video Segment Editing
- Movie and Menus Only capability
- Segment Blanking
- Slideshow Mode
- Advanced Encoding Features
- Movie-Only mode
- Extended HC encoder support
- Graphic Analysis display
- ISO file creation
- Automatic burning using DVD Decrypter
- New v1.00 Intuitive Interface
- Full support for ILVU encoding
If you go to the DVD Rebuilder forum and hangout for awhile you will see the advantages of making backups with RB.
Regards,:)
EDIT: You can't compare a Transcoder app. such as CloneDVD2 which I do like for certain functions to the all powerful Encoding app. DVD Rebuilder...Apples and Oranges.
