I'm trying to make a backup from scarface and i'd like to use undot and deen cause it's an old movie and it looks very grainy. But HC encoder is saying the segment which it is encoding is interlaced.

I've read some topics about filters and interlaced material so i was wondering if it's okay to use these filters despite the source is interlaced?

Thanks in advance ;)

Is your source PAL or NTSC?

If it is PAL, can you see any combing (interlacing) when viewing the avs in VDub or does it look purely progressive?
