Problem with Batman Begins Bonus DVD

I tried to backup Batman Begins Bonus DVD (R2) with DVD-RB Pro 1.02. I didn't do any edit before using DVD-RB.

In the backup the menu subpictures are missing. The navigation generally works but you cannot see what is marked. That makes the DVD unusable because you cannot see if you are on "one page back" or anything other. The subtitles in the movies are ok.

How did you check the problem? Burn and view in a standalone player? Or with a Software player in the PC?

There was something quirky about my backup of this disc as well. BBD2 R1 NTSC. For the most part everything worked as it should but once I got to viewing the images, be it posters or what have you--I found that I could no longer continue after viewing pages 13+. I didn't really look into the problem too much being that everything else worked fine except the image gallery section. I should add there was no preprocessing done on the disc as well.

I tested it in PowerDVD and WinDVD. Both showed the problem. I don't know if the image galleries work because I didn't get there as navigation was problematic without subpictures.

I asked because in a couple of cases my backups presented problems with subtitles when viewed with a software player that where not there when burned and viewed in an standalone.
Remember RB does not modify menus. Just copy them.

Great. I started looking at the BOV routines after your report... but it wasn't until I tripped across the bug this month that it was corrected. It resulted in the fix for v1.06. I would have credited you in the updates log -- but I had a little trouble remembering which thread had started it...

It also explains why I still have a rip of "Batman Begins, Bonus" on my harddrive... all I could remember is that I needed it for testing something.

Finally I could delete the rip, too.
7 GB more free disk space.

I hope I'll never run into such a disc in the future. It looks great with all the animated stuff but usability is horrible. Designers should get punished for this disc ;) .
