any ideas ?

Have you pre-processed the source files?
What did you use to RIP the DVDs?

Sorry, not enough info to even render a guess.
What Region Disc?
What encoder are you using?
Have you tried another encoder?
What did you rip it with?
Are you using any special settings so that the problem can be replicated?
What segment does it hang on?
Any pre-processing involved?
That might do just to get started.

ok
the disc is region 4
i removed just the audios (except English of course)
i was using one-click mode (no diff with 3 clicks mode :D )
i used dvddecrypter 3.5.4.0
i use cce 2.67
it hangs in the segment 26 of VTS_04
no special settings (5 passes anyway)
it's a p4 3ghz withouth HT
the log doesnt say much, only the msg that i posted here.

CCE is crashing on that segment for some reason. I would try it with HC encoder to see if it has the same problem. That would tell you if it is your encoder having the problem or if there is a setup or source problem somewhere.

Appart from trying HC (a very good idea) I would suggest to check the target bitrate for that segment (you can use RBOpt for it, o watch in the CCE window when encoding).
It may be too low for the segment, so you could increase it with RBOpt.
It used to happen to me when the bitrate for a segment was below 700
