I don't know why and how that can happen... Rebuilder uses the original audio streams... they remain untouched...
Are you sure you didn't, accidentally, turn the volume button? :D
keep it UP

As Rockas mentioned... that's impossible. The audio is left untouched by DVD-RB.
Also, I would highly recommend that you use the ISO creation and burning functions within DVD Rebuilder.

I have heard that DVD Shrink does somthing to the audio where there is a dropoff in volume as the movie plays. Maybe that has something to do with your problem. You are editing with Shrink after RB right?

editting with dvd shrink.
O.K. I found one Post Here about Volume problems in Shrink. (http://forum.doom9.org/showpost.php?p=455150&postcount=9)
There are others but I don't remember where I saw them.
Just something else to consider.

Well... I don't know how Shrink deals with the Audio sources... but Rebuilder keeps them untouched so... I don't know how the Volume can be affected

I have heard that DVD Shrink does somthing to the audio where there is a dropoff in volume as the movie plays.
This is the first time that I heard of this. So I just did some testing using the last released version of DVD Shrink.
As the MythBusters on the Discovery Channel would say .... MYTH!
I demuxed the ac3 audio from both an original disc and a processed DVD Shrink disc. I then compared the CRCs, they were exactly the same. To be more accurate, I then used a program to compare the two ac3 files byte by byte. Every byte was exactly the same. My conclusion is that DVD Shrink does not touch the audio.

Well as a professor of mine once said..."Don't believe Everything you Read". ;)
As such, I remember reading that link I posted an some others about an audio problem with Shrink but as your tests indicate that may be entirely unfounded. The fellow in that post seemed to have a valid arguement but I trust your findings as probably correct as I personally have not had that problem with Shrink.
I was merely providing another avenue for 'radar' to find his problem as we know it could not be DVD Rebuilder.

You'll find a similar test with DVD-RB to be a bit-for-bit match.

hey thanks everybody for your replys.
i find my back ups not as loud at the same volume setting.most of my back ups are edited with shrink with no compression.i thought i was missing some setting somewhere.
i know i should just use dvd rb to edit, but i like to remove the ending credits.so i can have rb prosses it with out needing cce.

you can do that by simply blanking the credits segment in the pro version
