I have a Sony DVD recorder wich I use to record episodes of TV programs. They all play fine on the Sony and my stand alone DVD player. If I want to keep them and rip the VOB and conver it to DivX but there is a problem. Although the VOB plays fine from my HDD the converted DivX has sync problems, the amound does not seem constant from file to file and even within a single file. I found this with DVD Decripter 3.5.4.0 so I tried Smart Ripper 2.41 and there are no sync problems in the one program rip I tried so far. Just thought I would share my experience although its confusing

I have used SmartRipper for a while but its come up with an old error, Cannot change visable on OnShow or OnHide. I did a bit of searching and I thought this was fixed some time ago. I tried downloading and copying the files again and rebooting but this made no difference. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem

I have gone back and tried DVD decrypter again and with the default options there is still a little sync problem but I have found on this one clip if I go into stream processing and unselect subtitles then go into tools/settings/IFOmode and select every bit of additional info going the conversion with DivX Converter is perfect.
