I know DVD-RB can empty the temp files before starting a new project, but for some reason it doesn't delete any ISO image files it creates

I have DVD Decrypter and ImgBurn set to delete the ISO after burning, but they don't do it either and for some weird reason never do ......

Is there anyway DVD-RB can be altered to delete everything in the Temp directory, not just the D2VAVS directory contents, or somebody come up with a better suggestion than having to remember to manually delete the ISO files

Is you're iso file mounted on a virtual drive? Generally i think most people mount the image to check that is all OK before burning. A mounted image cannot be deleted.

Rebuilder doesn't delete the ISO images... I did that on purpose. I try not to remove anything without specific direction by the user. I guess I could add a setting to remove it after a successful burn.

Please, if you could

Sometimes I forget and the first I know about it is when I get an error and it turns out my temp area is full of ISOs taking all my HD space

No, I don't touch virtual drives at all. I trust DVD-RB and IMGBurn/DVD Decrypter. But I do test play all on my standalone. Paranoid, but they don't have faults yet

Apart from when plugins have gone wrong due to me, or silly things like that

This checking all stems to Nero being crap at creating DVD video (v5.xx and v6.xx) and having to do a stack of DVD's again as they would play on one standalone but not another. I changed burning software to DVD Decrypter, ALL my problems disappeared. Exact same media, exact same spindle, exact same method

So to me that proved Nero was at fault, and I don't touch if for DVD video since

A mounted image cannot be deleted.
That is not completly true... When using Daemon Tools (v3.47 - don't know if it is the last one at this moment) you can delete the Image file... even if it is mounted.

And what a mess it makes -- especially if DVD-RB is running when you do it. I've done it by rebooting a computer with a networked drive before.

3.47 of Daemon tools is the most current, but 4.0 is on the way. It has been delayed several times, but the new release date is about 2 weeks away according to the website.

With 3.47 I have no issues deleting the image even if it is mounted.

If you do implement this, can it be an option and not an automatic thing please jdobbs?

I've added it as another checkbox under the "Select ISO Output Options" dialog.
