Hello!
Im looking for a app thats does the same as dvdshrink, but i want to mix in the re-author function in the full disc backup.
What I want is to cut out some parts of the dvd, like all the startmovie and warnings. The thing is that IF I use DVDshrink and use full disc i get a stillpicture ore something else there as long as the movei was. If I use reauthor i cannot get any menu, and I want the menu intact of course!
Or any other way to rip the menus, and the movies and put it together would also be appreciated!

CloneDVD2 has similar functions to DVDShrink, but you can uncheck something to completely omit it from the final DVD. There are some more advanced reauthoring programs, more about which you can find out in the DVD Authoring forum.

Likewise, the commercial program, DVD95Copy, allows you to DEselect specific portions, while retaining the active menu, the movie, and only those other things you wish...

hub,
is your concern disk space - as when it replaces it with a picture the filesize is smaller even if it lasts as long.
If you want to remove it and also fix the menu. There are two options I know of:
Use CloneDVD2 - though be aware it doesn't compress the menus like DVDshrink does (personally I have used cloneDVD2 on DVD9 settings so it just removes unwanted elements, and then put the out put (done as DVD files) into DVDshrink)
Use one of the freeware options to do it before using DVDshrink
- Use vobblanker (http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/vobblanker.htm) before DVD shrink

Great tool if you don 't wanna do complete re-authoring including building new menu...
