This free plugin for PgcEdit (written by The Mad Monk) is working on all known ARccOS disks, including Bewitched, Seinfeld Series 4 (disks 2 and 4), LODT etc etc etc.
How to use it and the download: http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=56831.
It not only rips the disk successfully, but cleans all the crap off it (including phony cell commands) and then launches VobBlanker to get rid of the ARccOS cells. What you end up with is a perfectly normal DVD to process with your favourite encoder/transcoder.
Contrary to the method used by DVD Fab Decrypter, if you have a truly bad sector, DVD Decrypter will puke on it (as it always did).
The IFO files you end up with are fully compliant and you should not encounter any "Illegal Nav" or "Out of Memory" errors in DVD Shrink.

@Lucien1258
Hi!
1) Freeware - DVDFab Decrypter. Use this ONLY if you're fairly certain that your DVD is clean and free of physical damage - Because this program is known to deal with REAL bad sectors the same way it deals with "ARccOS" bad sectors. This can result in a DVD copy that does not playback properly.
2) Commercial software - DVD95Copy. Rips/Decrypts and, if you choose, compresses and, if you choose, burns...

There's also another ripper which is quite good called Magic Ripper. However, it is quite pricey at $33 or so, and so many would not consider it value for money.

You mention DVDFabDecrypter--is that the same as the one from LUK? Does DVDD from LUK fail on these discs? Just curious, I don't have any of the discs in question (yet).
EDIT: Now I looked at the guide in the link. Sorry for the dumb questions above.

From my own experience, DVD2One appears to be more "finicky" than DVD Shrink and DVD95Copy about .IFO structure. You may find that rips made with DVDFab Decrypter are rejected by DVD2One...

What changes/enhancements/bug resolutions have been made in this version?

What changes/enhancements/bug resolutions have been made in this version? Remove crap can now be used on a DVD ripped by DVDFab Decrypter. (Previously the Find All Cells to Remove function did not identify the first cell as a cell to remove.)
Remove crap now adds the missing entries in the VTS_VOBU_ADMAP tables so that it is now possible to use DVD Shrink and similar programs without having to process the domain with VobBlanker.

Ver 1.13 is released by The Mad Monk!
What is new in the latest version?
The last cell of the PGC was wrongly included by the Find Unplayed Cells when this cell was used to allow the user to skip to the end of the title with the remote control, and was preceded by a LinkTailPGC cell-command.

Remove crap

Is it possible to use this plugin if you've already ripped your DVD with DVDFab Decrypter? Or will I have to rip it again using DVD Decrypter?
Thanks

Yes...
You could perform the "remove crap" operation with the plugin..

How do I perform the "remove crap" operation with the plugin from the ripped files via DVDFab decrypter?
bourtzovlakas

Open the files in PgcEdit...
Go Plugins-->PSL2(ARccOS)-->Tool:Find protected titles
and then Plugins-->PSL2(ARccOS)-->After rip:Remove crap
See the link in the first post for instructions, on what to do next...

Thanks. The instructions were a bit confusing, since it kept talking about DVD Decrypter. But I see now ... Thank you!

Version 1.14 has been released - get it here (http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?postid=304939#post304939).
Changelog:
- Some unused cell commands were not removed in some case. Fixed.
- It is now possible to remove crap on titles without selecting any cell to remove. (It's necessary to clean title 94 of Madagascar.)
- Identify and offer to remove completely the fake titles used in the newer ARccOS protections. (Madagascar title 94)

Everybody please note that after the Remove crap pass, it is very useful to use the final VobBlanker pass to delete the unreferenced cells. This is due to GOP structure issues.

I have this question... Can I just burn DVDDecryptor ripped ISO to dual layer media or I have to clean them up prior to burn it... Is the protection only to prevent us processing... etc.. CCEing it.
Thnx.
Sorry if I should create another thread. TIA
bourtzovlakas

Yes, you can...
Thang_Bom
14th November 2005, 23:41
Thanx for the quick response. I assumed my burned DVDCrypto-ripped dual layer still have the sector protection like original but my DVD Desktopy player can play it normally.
bourtzovlakas

In ISO mode, DVD Decrypter by default, does not remove the protection...
...it only by-pass it...
Therefore, you have a 1-1 copy of the original...
The protection is still there but that doesn 't affect the reproduction of the DVD...
...just like the original....

I went to burn Madagascar today and was so glad this forum was out here. That was a tricky one, the extra process takes some time, but the burn was perfect.

PSL2 Plugin for PgcEdit worked the first time for me! It was the only way I could backup Dark Water! I used the Wizard! Being that I'm sort of new at all this I'm not even sure what all is taking place with this ARccOS but I'm sure proud of the great plug in. Thanks!
