i am trying to wrap my avs scripts into avi files with this tool from ffdshow. i t creates the avi files but i cannot open or play them. i have tried on several different hardware. when i open avi file in media player / vdub / graphedit, whatever, the application terminates immediately. sometimes even explorer crashes.

i have tried changing settings in ffdshow for VFW / video decoder config, like checking avisynth but doesnt work.

edit: and using feature 'output wav' seems useless too, because unless you check 'store uncompressed audio' you will get a wav file that will not open in ANY program.

I've heard the same complaints from pretty much everyone I know who's used it. Under some circumstances, it will occasionally actually work. But most of the time it just doesnt :(

It would be nice if someone could look at the code and update this program and fix the bugs. It could be an extremely useful tool if it wasn't so unstable.
Not to say I don't appreciate what has already been put into it or anything, I have managed to get it working in the past, and it really helped me out.
