i djobbs can answer this small one would be nice. i use RB-pro but, i don't use the full installer because i don't want to have all those encoders in my system so, i use only the update. my question is. is there a differnce between the two? is it better to use one over the other?. the update has been working just find for me. i just want to use whatever you think is the best thing to use. so i basically want to know if there is any advantages in using one over the other. thanks.

@elizerrojas

I know... I'm not Jdobbs (but I wish I had his programing knowledge!) :p . But I wanted to point out that the encoders contained within the installer are in their own folder, and thereby not installed on your system. All you'll need to do to remove them is delete the files, which will be found in your DVD-RB PRO folder. If you do decide to keep them (and why not? They can be good for experimenting), you won't have dll conflicts with other encoders on your system. The installer is usually recommended because it installs versions of supporting software which are known to work in harmony with Rebuilder. The problem with installing everything seperately is that it's easy to install a version of a given program that's not been tested to work with Rebuilder, thus causing problems that never would have cropped up if the recommended versions were used. If you're not having any troubles at the moment, then you'll be fine simply unzipping the update files into your DVD-RB PRO folder and answering "yes to all" to the dialoge box which will ask you whether or not you want to replace certain old files with new ones from the update folder.
