I got an error message during the prepare phase on the movie Hide and Seek Region 1 using RB Pro 1.01 final. DVD Decrypter version 3.5.4.0 was used to extract files and no errors were noted. No preprocessing was done. The log file is below. Any suggestions on how to work around the error?

Thanks in advance,

- Detected ANGLE and/or INTERLEAVING on source.

hmmm, this is likely related to the structure protection method in decrypter, doing you remember what you settings were?

That error means the video data pack is corrupted. The length indicator in the header has failed a sanity check. I've done that movie (R1) and it should have no problems -- something got corrupted somehow during the rip.

What does this message mean during prepare:

From pop-up dialog:
Error Condition:
DVD Rebuilder experienced an error attempting to read from source. [13:00:50]00002 00075.

From rebuilder.log:
[13:09:17] Phase I, PREPARATION started.
- VTS_01: 1,694,368 sectors.
-- Scanning and writing .D2V & .AVS files
-- Video demultiplexing...
[13:10:31] 00002 00075 -- error attempting to read from source.
[13:11:02] 00002 00075 -- error attempting to read from source.
- PREPARE aborted.

Gorgeous R1 ripped from DVDDecrypter 3.5.4.0. Not ILVU nor ARccOSS. No errors detected. "No Compression" mode chosen in RBPro 1.01.

DVDShrink has problem reading VTS_01_1.VOB: Data error (cyclic redundancy check), and DRMPro has problem exporting with this vob.

I reripped again with DVDFab Decrypter, and this problem goes away. Wonder what could be the difference.

That is a low-level device read error (pretty much the same as Shrink says). It means that when DVD-RB tried to read the from a file the operating system returned an error message. I've gotten it before when I mounted an ISO from a network drive, and then forgot and rebooted the computer from which the ISO was mounted.
