HC auto GOP not possible for PAL sources anymore?

A non-English speaking friend of mine reported that DVD-RB doesn't allow auto GOP for PAL sources but sets the GOP at 12-2. The changelog for v1.0 says that it should apply only to sources that are to be pulldowned. Is it a bug or is there something wrong with his setup?

I can confirm the same behavior with DVD-RB 1.01 Pro.

Same here, the autogop seems to be disabled ATM, also for PAL.
The good news is that the GOP/VOBU pulldown issue in HC is already solved, will be in the next release (Xeno86, thanks ;) ).

Yep... I made the change incorrectly... it is setting the GOP to 12/2 for sources that are not pulldown as well unless it is overridden by the GOP size selection in DVD-RB. It shouldn't really cause any issues, though -- I'll change it for the next release.

Is it possible to find out how many gop's a PAL source has? So i can set dvdrb manually to 12 or 15.

It's typically 12 (that's the reason it's fine how it is) but it doesn't have to be. Same for NTSC Film Progressive.
