I have demuxed a movie (Bewitched) to add a new subtitle but the audio has a very big audiodelay of 71904 ms.
I've demuxed using dvd-decrypter and the file says:VTS_02_1 - 0X80 - AUDIO - AC3 - 6CH - 48KHZ - DRC - ENGLISH - DELAY 71904MS.AC3
I use DVD-Maestro to author the dvd but sound is to early.
I then try to remux it using dvd author in ifo-edit, where i can input the audio delay, but it only allows me a value of -5000 to 5000 ms.
What number should i input ??
I've demuxed with vobedit, dvd decrypter and pgcdemux and the delay is the same.When i check audio video delay in pgcdemux it says 0 , but it ends up out of sync.
Why is there an audio-delay anyway ??

71904ms is almost 72 seconds. This happens when there is a segment with no audio, or different audio than what you wanted. See if there is a 71 or 72 second vob at the beginning of the movie, and rip without it. You can use several tools to see this, including IfoEdit - look at the breakdown of vobid/cellid for the PGC.

Hi!
I have demuxed a movie (Bewitched)
Just curious - How can I also obtain that DVD before its 10/25/05 release date?

Oh, I'm sure it's this oldie goldie he's working on: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088798/ :)
Otherwise it would be a violation of forum rule #6...!

@CoNS
Hi!
No cigar - That's only a TV movie, not on DVD ;>}

Thx for the answer mpucoder.
Can you tell me what the problem is by looking at this picture of ifoedit.
I'm not an expert in dvd authoring as you are .

And what should i use to rip the movie without the 72 sec vob
Update:
I have just got it to work. I used AC3 Delay Corrector and it now syncs great.
But if i can get around this by doing what mpucoder said ( See if there is a 71 or 72 second vob at the beginning of the movie, and rip without it )
it would be nice. I'm not sure how to do that , jet ?.

Very, very strange.
Could you post an extract of movie or no?
:thanks:

You need to remove the dummy cells with PSL2 plugin for PGCEDIT, then demux.

@slayerDK
As what I see with your posted IfoEdit image, what I would do is strip out VOB Ids 1,2 & 3.

I wonder if it works in all situations. For example, in Seinfeld Season 4, DVD 4, VTS 3 (Titles 9 and 10), the ARccOS protection is on the same VOB cell as the beginning of the movie. After removal of the ARccOS part of the cell, the movie starts at approx 0:01:04. I suppose this wrong timestamp may confuse some programs.
