I have an R1 anime dvd here.

reencoded complete alright. When I view chapter 8 in the main video, the video and audio are very jerky and out-of-sync. I am viewing the video using ifoedit.

I opened the corresponding .m2v file in dgindex/vdubmod and it plays alright without any stuttering. One thing I noticed in dgindex is that the .m2v file has been IVTCed because the frame rate is only 23.xx FPS.

Is it possible that when dvd-rb was rebuilding the DVD and converting the 23.xx FPS video into the original 29.xx FPS, there was a miscalculation?

I hope jdobb has a solution for this. thanks

I don't think what you are observing is related.

Your are making assumptions that aren't correct. A frame rate of 23.976 is not an indicator that the source has had IVTC run against it. In fact DVD-RB never runs IVTC -- it doesn't modify the original

What you are seeing is a common denominator of a 23.976fps rate that is applied to all NTSC sources in order to enable support for hybrid sources. The framerate is readjusted to it's original framerate during REBUILD.

Please give me more information about this source and what you are doing.

1. Are you doing movie-only?
2. What are the bitrates? What compression level?
3. Where does it occur?

Also please send the REBUILDER.INI, REBUILDER.INF, REBUILDER.LOG, and REBUILDER.ECL files zipped to dvd-rb@dvd-rb.com.

No need to apologize... :) I often frame my responses so they are aimed at everyone who may be reading -- hope I didn't sound discourteous.
