View Full Version : Any filter can cope with this kind of noise ?

Hi.

I captured a clip off VHS and, to my bad luck, the VHS has artifacts causing disturbing noise to show on the clip.

There are 3 lines of noise in the clip (two horizontal and one vertical, marked with arrows in the following screenshot), which are moving slowly throughout the picture for the entire clip. Here's the screenshot :

I applied PixieDust(5) but it didn't take off the noise.

I uploaded a small preview clip encoded in xvid to save space (the original footage is in huffy) :

Fizick's DeFreq?

Don't ask me how to use it :p

I don't think defreq would work well when the pattern is only present in part of the frame

Try my fanfilter (at warpenterprises page). Atleast vertical noise can be eliminated.
