Hi guys. I have a problem backing up Finding Nemo R1. I'm using Rebuilder 1.00 RC5(Too lazy to do the upgrade again). When I do just menu and movie and blank extras I still get a bitrate of around 2.2!!! How is this possible and why is it so low?

Finding Nemo has a "visual commentary" which means there is a lot more video on the disc than just the feature, that's why the bitrate is so low.

You can just unzip 'DVD-RBv101pro.zip' over your install (backup your 'rebuilder.ini' just in case) and boom! you're done, no sweat, no surprise except maybe a pop-up saying the skins have been upgraded the first time you launch DVD-RB.

May I suggest you try using Vob blanker and editing the extras which isn't really necessary in my opinion. This way you can have menu, movie & the 5.1 track untouched. I went this way and didn't need to process it through DVD-RB. :)

But the thing is I checked the options to blank the extras in DVD-RB so shouldn't I have much more space for the video now?

Well before deciding on whether or not to use DVD-RB I use Shrink only to analyze the DVD this way I know what can go and what can stay. You'll find the DVD is packed with a good amount of extras, commentary, video introductions and screensavers. I backed up this DVD the year it was released and haven't bothered with it since so I can only say that running Vob blanker before hand is a good idea, just be sure to remove the rest of the audio. 5.1 track menu & main movie can remain untouched if edited properly, if I can get away with having a backup without going through DVD-RB then that is the way to go as it saves a good deal of time. :D

A good reason to use Vob blanker is also because DVD-RB can't edit extras and output a DVD5 version without compression, not yet anyway. ;)

I would suggest also using MenuShrink on the menu. Converting it to stills saves about 1.8gb of space(largest menu I have seen personally). That along with HKT3020_1 last suggestion should make it under the DVD5 mark and no recompression is necessary.

Vobblanker can also shrink menus with or without audio.
