Hello!
As it is a long time since last time I played with DVDRB,I spendt
some hours today reading here today. And found that DVDRB
had some problems with CCE 2.70.

As I recently bought latest CCE Basic,I tried it with DVDRB 0.95 today and
Procecced two movies,Harry Potter And The Prizoner of Azkaban and
LOTR:The Return Of the King and both "outputs" looks great to me.

As far as I could see from the posts, this problems was only for CCE-SP 2.70
and not for CCE-Basic 2.70.Can anyone of the experts here comfirm this?
(I read also changelog but didnt find anything on CCE Basic)

Thanks a lot!

I use 2.70 every day...

I've never personally had a problem, but early on some folks did report some issues with SP version of 2.70 giving them "no M2V file" errors (in other words CCE was crashing), but since then Cinemacraft introduced a newer version and I don't think anyone is reporting problems anymore.

I don't think there were ever any problems reported with CCE Basic 2.70.

That sounds great, then ill forget CCE 2.67! :) Thanks!

@jdobbs,in a reply in the thread I was referring to in my last reply, you
wrote:
I'd suggest that anyone who uses DVD-RB with v2.70 change the Quality Prec default to 24 on the CCE Advanced setup screen.

Is this suggestion still valid,or should I leave it at 16 ?

Leave it as-is. That was old info... DVD-RB does the conversion now. From the change log:

January 17th, 2005 (v0.72)
...
- Made a correction to the quality prec value for CCE v2.70. The scale has been changed (again) in this CCE version. The scale is again set to 0-100. NOTE: DVD-RB will automatically make the conversions between the scales of different versions.

[added note] Those folks as Cinemacraft would should make it easier on all of us if they'd choose a scale and stick with it... it would also be really nice if they'd settle on a value that determines VBR from OPV/CBR etc... they've changed it at least 4 times for different versions.

Yes,I agree. It can(and will?) lead to problems when they change scale as often as that.
But we also have another good example, the offset line/upper field
settings that is different on the different versions.

Anyway, thanks a lot for your help. :D
