View Full Version : Convert LB to 16:9 didn't work

I ran RB-PRO v1.01 on a letterboxed (non-anamorphic) DVD today, and the Convert from 4:3 to 16:9 option did not work. I had selected "Apply to all", and I'd even double-checked it before starting the conversion in one-click mode. But the VIDEO_TS came out as 4:3 letterboxed anyway.

In looking at the rebuilder.ini file, I see the line Convert_16_9=00, and in the Work folder's REBUILDER.INF file I see lots of Convert16=0. I assume these lines should say Convert16=1???

Can anyone suggest something to do or double-check before I run this again, and risk wasting another couple hours of CPU time? Can I re-use my Work files?

The only other data point that might be of interest is that I got a warning "Video will fit, does not need conversion" because the DVD is a DVD-5 to start with. So all I wanted from the Movie-Only conversion was an anamorphic copy of the movie...

Check the avs files and see if DVD-RB added the LanczosResize line.

Wow, that was fast. No, just "trim" and "convert".

But now I know what to look for, and will run it in 3-click mode, checking the avs files before proceeding to Encode step.

Thanks for the fast reply Video Dude.

EDIT: OK, I only had to look at the 1st couple AVS files after re-starting PREPARE and now I can see the line:

LanczosResize(720,480,0,60,720,360)

So the issue most likely was a PEBCAK error!
