Batch convert divx/xvid/mpg/etc to WMV Windows/Linux

Hi All,

I am wondering if it is possible to convert several hundred videos from various formats to wmv? I would prefer it be in linux, so other people can convert when needed.

If it's done in Windows, can it be automated in any way?

convert.bat c:\movies c:\output

or something similar.

Also what about logo support?

I :readguid: but couldn't find anything useful.

MEncoder (http://www.mplayerhq.hu), on Linux or Windows, can encode to WMV2 (a.k.a. WMV8) and also supports adding logos. It's not inherently batched, but it is CLI.
Nothing on Linux can encode WMV3 (a.k.a. WMV9), except under Wine etc.
