HI,

In my workflow I clean up a DVD before reencode i do
1. trace and identify trailers, extras, language etc I do not want
2. rewrite involved commands to make PGC and titles with unwanted material unreferenced
3. "kill playback" and "cross reference", repeated until all unrefs as dummis
4. remap titlenumbers and titlesets => delete last VTS
all unused titlenumbers are at the end
5. run the DVD thru vobblanker to get rid of unref cells

I'd really also like to remove unused (unreferenced titels) and "dummi" them. I only succeded in removing them if they belong to a VTS that I remapped to be the last and then deleted that VTS.

I know it is a cumbersome way and not needed to do but it looks nicer and it's easier to follow the structure of the DVD, actually it's a quite fast way to clean up.

Maybe the question was not clear among all my mumboyambo above.
I'd like to remove a titlenumber of a title that belongs to a VTS that I need to keep.

Well, it's not possible with PgcEdit, because a Title must have video contents. It cannot be dummy! (But a PGC belonging to the same TTN can be dummy.)

However, it is possible to remove completely a title, under some circumstances.
1) The PGC must be the last PGC of the current title domain. (This is the main limitation, since there is currently no way to remap the PGCs.)
2) The Title Number must be the last one of the DVD. (You can use the Remap Title Numbers function to change it.)
3) Though not required, you must be sure that the PGC is unreferenced.
If these conditions are met, you may use "Delete Last PGC in Domain".

Hi!

Perhaps this is an odd suggestion, since this is a sub-forum devoted to IFO Editing and VOB editing but, you might want to make a FIRST pass with DVD95Copy (commercial software) in "Ripping" mode - and simply DE-select the title you wish to eliminate.

This will save a complete, fully functional (1) Including the active menu and 2) NOT compressed) "trimmed" copy of your DVD to your hard drive - ready for any other cleaning up you wish to perform...

Good trick, but are you sure that the PGC is removed as well, not only the VOB? IMO, this is what knife wants to do.
