Im encoding an anime clip and Im seeing that is encoding too slow..Avg is 28 fps.I open my Task Manager and notest that its using only 48% of the cpu...WTF is their some way to boost it to 90+%?

I might want to include that im using Nero Recode.

Do you have other processes hogging the CPU? Are the process thread priorities placing Recode at the top of the list?

Yes its on top and the rest of the PC is at 2-3%.I had the same ploblem with VirtualDub.When encoding xvid content. But when I frameserved the content then open it up with VB it whent up to 90+%.

Are you running on a processor with HT? Neither XviD nor Nero Recode can take advantage of that.

Blame Intel for inventing half-ass technologies and let the customers believe they're like the holy grail...

x264 support multi-thread encoding. but 28fps is really a high speed
