View Full Version : Analog capture tool for linux?

Anyone succeesed to find good capture software for analog capturing through composite? With Gui of course :)

With that kind of program I could easily stop using Windows at all in this process, since now I have to capture video with Virtual VCR.

AviDemux is very good tool to edit and process video and GWC is superior against audacity or CoolEdit when removing noise from audio but it seems to be very picky about audio format. Can't even recognice Avidemux saved wav-file. Also Avidemux cannot read ms adpcm.

It's a little old, but still valid. It uses vcr as the main recorder app.

Be careful with gv4l, it is very insecure, see here for a description of the problem:
