Hi
I have the pleasure to announce that I have created a new graphic
compressed format for images, the format has name "GGM"
The new format is similar to "png" without any loss of quality in the
compression.
The difference consists in the resultant compression very superior to
the png format (around the double one).
GGM also outclasses the super file compressor and champion of the
world, (but work slow) "WinRK" that you can unload to this address:
http://www.msoftware.co.nz/WinRK_about.php.
This new format has all the characteristics to not only replace png
but also jpg. The format jpg with to increase some speed of the
connections internet loses the utility of use it.
The algorithm of GGM has the ability to individualize possible
precedents processes jpeg compression present in the images.
I remember that almost overall the images produced by a digital
device have origin jpeg-mpeg
If the image has origin jpeg the compression GGM work at the most of
its possibilities.
If the image has not precedents compressions jpeg the algorithm is
used the BMF method.
The data accessories are compressed with Zb2.
If you want to try the GGM format the demo (only for windows) is
here:
www.magia.it/Alfa/Salva/SetupGGM.msi
To install the demo you owe first to verify if in your computer is
present framework 1.1, if it is not installed click here
www.magia.it/Alfa/Salva/dotnetfx.exe and install.
I kindly ask you to consider that the software is a version Beta and
is not optimized and therefore it is rather slow.
Currently work only with the palettes of windows for which if you
desire to make comparisons first save the images with an installed
software in windows. for esample the palettes of Apple are not for
instance recognized and therefore automatically converts.
The PNG format implemented in my program is the standard type, if
you want to make a will other types of pngi they are in Image
Analyzer http://www.snapfiles.com/get/imageanalyzer.html
The GGM format preserves the information of the images to 100%
The algorithm that GGM uses is derived from my searches on the visual
perception and on the three-dimensional things.
If you try the demo you can verify how much I have said
In the demo exists also a routine fort he verification of the compressions
and their errors.
As it regards the jpeg I have invented another format: "Ja8" that it
compresses the double one of jpeg 2000 (4 X around jpeg), you can see some
examples in this page (Italian text)
http://www.magia.it/Alfa/Alfa8.htm
Your opinion I will be very pleasant,
Ciao and thanks for your attention
Guglielmo"
