Why does a video with large GOP look like double images when played on a DVD player? I had a VOB with long GOP so I encoded with TMPGEnc (and set GOP<18) but still doesn't look right on DVD player. Looks alright on PC. Any other things I can try to correct this?

any more info about the video stream? resolution? standard?

DVD players will sometimes treat half-d1 and VCD sized videos oddly. if you're playing back 720xXXX then disregard that of course...

what do you mean by "double image"... to me that could mean a lot of things, all different.

Original clip was VOB, I encoded to NTSC MPEG2, 720x480 29.97 FPS, no deinterlace, GOP<18. Images seem to trail somewhat (video looks fine in Realplayer and VLC). When I open mpeg in VDUB I see no problem as I step through. Never had this happen, I think I authored a VOB like this last week and result was fine on my DVD player. (I use DVDLab and TMPGEncAuthor.)
